Despite the obvious benefits this planet gains from precipitation, the mere sonic properties hold limitless affects on the human psyche. Whether it be therapeutic meditation, a quest for calming or an aide for sleep, the sound of rain offers a myriad of meaningful experiences for the ears. Yet apart from nature's reactive surfaces on land as well as accompanying tones such as wind or thunder, there's also a variety of soothing sounds produced when droplets hit human made surfaces. From window panes to rooftops, umbrellas and many other shields different auditory experiences are presented.

Chance of rain celebrates the aforementioned sounds with a variety of showering backdrops to ambient drones and minimal synthetic orchestrations. Though somewhat melancholic in tone this album provides soothing pieces that will leave no soul dry.

This is a lovely piece of music to lose yourself in, or maybe to fall asleep to, as it caresses you with a gentle drone in its undulating waves of sound. Wave upon wave crashes upon you as you gently drift into a hinterland of consciousness, yet you do not care as the resonances are washing every thought away.
